Widget was not of course a Gundog but he liked to think he was and would be most disappointed if he were not included alongside his friends.
He was actually a very fine example of a sable/white "Chinese Crested Powderpuff". Widget was tiny but fearless and could hold his own with any of our larger dogs, feeling especially superior as he had the run of the house. He was shown a few times, being placed at all except one show. He loved to be shown, but Angela found the grooming too much of an effort.
Later, very much the retired gentleman, Widget was clipped to resemble a cross between a Bichon and poodle and was Angela’s constant companion in the house. It was a very heartbreaking day when we had to let him go.
